What NewsNetWide is
A newsroom rendered as a planet.
Most news products are lists. Lists flatten the world: a border dispute and a celebrity haircut arrive in the same rectangle. NewsNetWide restores the missing dimension — place. You rotate a globe, choose a country, and read what is actually happening there, sorted by consequence rather than recency.
Geographic first
A three-dimensional globe with engraved coastlines and a pin for every covered country. Interaction is spatial, not scrolled.
Categorised by hand-set rules
A fixed, journalist-defined taxonomy — finance, government, technology, health, science, environment and more — each with its own colour on the globe.
Deduplicated, then scored
The same story filed by forty outlets collapses into one entry, and importance decides whether its pin rises above the surface.

Sponsor pins are marked, dismissible, and never touch editorial ranking. The commercial layer is visible by design.
How it works
Three steps, every hour, without a human in the loop.
Gather
Wire services, RSS feeds and news APIs are pulled on the hour, normalised into one shape, and stamped with country and source.
Judge
Near-duplicates are fingerprinted and merged. What survives is categorised on weighted keywords and scored for importance and urgency.
Place
Each story becomes a pin at its country’s coordinates, coloured by category. Open a country and its headlines slide in beside the globe.

We speak with a small number of aligned investors about the next stage — coverage depth, editorial tooling, and taking the sponsorship model from pilots to a book of business. Materials are shared privately, on request.
